NOTICE TO BANKRUPTCY PRACTITIONERS OF CHANGES TO MISCELLANEOUS FEE SCHEDULE

The Judicial Conference has approved changes to the miscellaneous fee schedule for bankruptcy courts. The following fee changes are effective November 1, 2003.

Administrative Filing Fee

The miscellaneous administrative filing fee has been increased from $30.00 to
$39.00. Therefore, the total fee to be collected for all cases filed under
Title 11 has increased to:

Chapter 7.................................................................................................$209.00
Chapter 11...............................................................................................$839.00
Chapter 12...............................................................................................$239.00
Chapter 13...............................................................................................$194.00

Other Miscellaneous Fees

1. Notice of Appeal Fee...........................................................................$255.00
     (Docketing fee of $250.00 plus administrative fee of $5.00)
2. Motion to terminate, annul, modify or condition the automatic stay
     provided under §362(a) of Title 11.......................................................$150.00
3. Motion to compel abandonment of property of the estate pursuant to
     Rule 6007(b) of the Federal Rules of Bankruptcy Procedure.................$150.00
4. Motion to withdraw the reference of a case or proceeding
     under 28 U.S.C. 157(d)......................................................................$150.00
5. Certification of any document or paper.....................................................$9.00
6. Exemplification of any document or paper...............................................$18.00
7. Amendments to debtor’s schedules of creditors, list of creditors,

Exemptions to Fee for Filing Motions to Lift Stay

The Conference approved two exceptions to this fee. These include exemptions for
motions to lift a co-debtor stay under 11 U.S.C. §§1201 and 1302 and for stipulations
for court approval of an agreement regarding relief from a stay.

Fee for Dividing Cases

When a joint case filed under §302 of title 11 is divided into two separate cases at the
request of the debtor(s), a fee shall be charged equal to the current filing fee for the
chapter under which the joint case was commenced.
