The Voice Case Information System (VCIS) allows parties to dial into the court's database for all three court locations via a touch-tone telephone.
For cases filed on or after October 1, 1992, the information available includes: case number, chapter, filing date, judge, attorney for debtor, trustee, first meeting date, discharge complaint date and status of the case.
To use the Voice Case Information System, dial (866) 222-8029 on a touch-tone phone, press '6', '4' to select Michigan, then '1' to select the Eastern District. Follow the instructions for entering the name of a party along with procedures for retrieving case information. The Voice Case Information System is available at any time, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
