ECF Registration
All Filers and Users of the CM/ECF system in the Eastern District of Michigan must complete the registration process before a live login and password will be issued. A login and password will not be issued to an attorney if the attorney is not admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan.
Before proceeding through the registration process, you must review the Terms of Agreement and the Administrative Procedures for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Attorney registered in another Bankruptcy Court
An attorney filer who has attended training in another bankruptcy court is not required to attend training in the Eastern District of Michigan. The filer must complete the registration process and be admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan to obtain a login and password Click here to complete the ECF registration process.

Attorney requesting training in the Eastern District of Michigan
An attorney requesting training from the Eastern District of Michigan must complete the registration process and attend training to receive a login and password. The attorney must be admitted to practice in the U.S. District Court, Eastern District of Michigan before a login and password will be issued. Register for the debtor attorney class if you file on behalf of both debtors and creditors. Click here to complete the ECF registration process.

Creditor requesting login/password in the Eastern District of Michigan
Creditors are not required to attend training. The login and password issued to a creditor has limited access to the system which allows the creditor to file proofs of claim reaffirmation agreements, etc. Attorneys representing creditors must register for training to receive a login and password with full system access to file motions, etc. Click here to complete the ECF registration process. Upon completion of the registration form, the court will issue an ECF login and password which will be sent to the email address provided through registration.
